Not sure which is more yummy . . .

While obviously there is sugar in this scrumptious strawberry cake, it is entirely made from scratch with delicious, organic ingredients. I'm in love with our fresh, local strawberries and they're in season such a short period of time here, that I make sure we eat tons every day.

We had a fun barbecue last night with Granny, topped off with our yummy cake for desert.

And check out Thing 3 sporting a new headband and looking girly and gorgeous. I eventually caved in and got one of these bands, they are very cute and very soft for a little baby's head. I had gotten the "is it a GIRL or a BOY?" comment one too many times from strangers. This should fix that problem, I'd say!

We've got a busy week of visiting, barbecues and entertaining. Tomorrow is Canada Day here so we'll be off to a local fair and then heading to see the fireworks!!

Strawberries, cream, angel food cake. It really couldn't get any more tempting than that! Yes, if that was sitting down in front of me, my diet would be out the door.

Love the look on Thing 3's face, lol. She looks delish in that headband, too!

I LOVE bows! Ella has a whole basket full of them! I even bought some I can glue to her head!

Leah looks just gorgeous!

That cake looks totally delish!
The flower is a trip! Very cute.
She so does not look like a boy, even without the headband. Why must people be so oblivious?

Yummy looking cake AND baby! The turtle shirt looks adorable on Leah - I love it! And the flower bow, well, you know how I feel about those. :) I LOVE IT!!! The look on her face is priceless.

Wow, that is a yummy looking cake. We eat a lot of strawberries at our house too. And Leah looks gorgeous with her headband!

Doug has to work tomorrow. Can you believe that? A holiday and I'll be stuck here with the kids like any other day. Oh, and it's supposed to rain, so I doubt there will be a lot of neighbors out to mingle with. :(

Yeah, the cake looks DELISH. But I think Leah is way more yummy. That headband is priceless! MH would never let me get away with putting anything on her head. At 3, she is just now into having me "do" her hair. I love it!

Yup, both look yummy.

We are going strawberry picking tommorow and I might just have to make a cake like that now.

Happy Canada Day! We made pancakes and served them with real maple syrup. Last year in VT I got a maple-leaf shaped cookie cutter and cut out a pancake in that shape....so cute. I love food.

So of course, your HUGE strawberry shortcake made me drool! Our strawberry season here is over. Local stuff is awesome....we're waiting to get some goodies from our garden!

Awww, that bow is the cutest thing I've seen in a long time. Yes, I think that will put a stop to any boy/girl confusion. :)

That cake looks amazing. Did I miss the recipe? Will you post it?

Re the comment you left on my blog, I'd love some Ryan dirt. Start diggin'!!
