There is nothing particularly spectacular about this photo, but for some reason I was really drawn to it yesterday. Thing 2 is intently watching a rabbit scamper through the grass in our backyard. The sun was shining and a beautiful, vivid blue sky filled our kitchen window and outlined the gigantic hundred-year-old oak tree in the backyard behind us. Thing 2 and I have a brief quiet time together each day when the babies nap and when Thing 1 is off to kindergarten each afternoon. Yesterday we shared an Easter egg and pondered life in our backyard.

I love to watch children watching the world. Everything thing is new. Everything is beautiful.
I looked at my son in the car once, and he looked very similar to this, just staring out the window. The way the sun hit his face was perfect. Of course I was driving, so I couldn't document it. But I think if I were you, I would be drawn to this picture for the pure fact that you have a beautiful child. His profile is awesome, and he looks completely inthralled by what he is looking at. I love it.
I love moments like that
It's fun to see the world through their eyes ... it's all brand new.
it IS a great photo! love that washing against the blue sky in the post below too!
A wonderful picture to document the special time you share. As my children were growing up, I sucked in all the "moments" of small amounts of time that were good. I didn't measure happiness by days.....it was by moments. If I ws lucky enough to have a great day with all three and life in general I called them "Calendar Days".
That's just a wonderful story. Great job capturing that moment.
I have a similar photo of my niece looking out a frosted window with the Christmas tree off to the side of the photo...she looks like she's looking out the window for Santa :)
It really is a lovely photo! Nice that you're able to spend some 'alone' time with Thing 2, too! :)
sweet!
he does look quite content looking out of that window
great phptp friday
Aww, he is just so sweet. Great shot of your little boy. The light is hitting his face just right and he looks quite happy to be watching that rabbit.
Don't you just love their little profiles? I do, and this is a cute one! : )
This is such a great moment you captured, as if the entire world is laid at his feet. Very, very sweet Miss CMW4.
I hope you are feeling better!

The sheer joy in his expression is priceless! I love it :)
I love it too. It is peaceful, has a story to tell, and it doesn't hurt that he's handsome to boot ;)
