A Summer Update

You all may have noticed that I have been ridden with another case of "neglectful blogging". While extremely rewarding and a fabulous release for creative energy, blogging is also immensely time-consuming. And while often that is exactly how I choose to spend the very little free time I have, lately I have been choosing to keep myself busy in other, more relaxing and self-reflective ways.

I suspect I will be blogging very little over the course of the summer, as we have a variety of visits/trips/outings coming up in the next few weeks and I am truly enjoying my family, reading books, kicking my feet up, and watching a little trashy television. Perhaps a self-imposed blogging break is exactly what I needed.

In the meantime, here is a quick glimpse into some of the fun we've been having over the past month. My groovy sister and her family came to visit us for a while and we all just had the best time. She brought her two adorable children, her deadly-caesar-mixing husband . . . and LOBSTER.

What more can a girl ask for?

Yes, and we sure don't need more guilt in our lives do we? Blogging IS time consuming even when it is worthwhile & fun - so enjoy your summer while you have it! I haven't been blogging as much myself, and have fallen behind on even reading them, but it was fun to catch up on yours and see your beautiful family pictures. Your 3 Things are growing so fast!

What a great way to spend summer! I just had lobster last week, but have never cooked my own, is it easy?

Hope to see you around this summer, chillin' and relaxin'.

I love all the Canada Day shirts! Cute pics.

I miss you. I'm leaving Canada at the end of this week. We're going back to hot Texas. I have mixed feelings about it. It was great being in the same country with you for a while. I hope your summer is going well.

I hear you about blogging. I've been going through a similar situation, sacrificing my writing for my blogging. I'm trying to correct that.

Plus, who wants to be in front of a computer when the kids are home, the weather is nice and the ice cream truck is coming.

Enjoy your summer. Perhaps we'll hear more from you when the weather is cooler and school starts again :-)

(great shots of the kids and families)

Oh Miss Mom, those are simply delicious pictures! Your sister is a superstar for bringing all that goodness for a visit, especially those darling kids. You all look just wonderful, it's good you are taking a break, you were getting so worn down and Blogville is the last thing to worry about. (IOHO.)

Enjoy your summer.... we're just tickled to see the Things looking so happy! (And you too!)
